About Us

The story of theatre at Salisbury Regional School began in 1982, when the school first opened its doors with a performance space designed to serve students and the wider community. For decades, this theatre was the heart of school productions, concerts, assemblies, and community events—creating memories for generations of performers and audiences alike.

Despite its importance, the space saw very few major upgrades over the years. Aside from a new lighting system installed in 2004 and reupholstered seating added shortly after, the theatre remained largely unchanged—quietly waiting for a new chapter.

That chapter is now here.

 

Welcome to the Salisbury Regional Performing Arts Center (SRPAC)—a fully renovated, state-of-the-art performance venue located within Salisbury Regional School, reimagined to bring every performance to life while honouring the legacy of the space that came before it.

 

SRPAC features a 283-seat theatre with modern, comfortable seating and a warm, intimate atmosphere that creates a powerful connection between performers and audiences. This inviting setting, combined with professional-grade production capabilities, makes SRPAC an ideal venue not only for school and community events, but also for professional musicians and performers seeking a space to host professional-level shows in an intimate environment.

 

The venue is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including a DMX-controlled Chamsys lighting system, an industry-leading D&B sound system mixed through an Allen & Heath SQ5 digital console, and a fully integrated video production system capable of high-quality projection, live filming, and streaming. Every upgrade has been carefully designed to support concerts, theatre, dance, multimedia productions, and hybrid events at a professional level.
