What a week to remember!

The Salisbury Regional Performing Arts Centre officially opened its doors with a celebration that truly captured the spirit, talent, and pride of our community. From the very first moments of our exclusive sneak peek event, it was clear—this space is something special.

We were thrilled to welcome invited guests, sponsors, town officials, district leadership, and members of the media for an unforgettable first look at the venue. The evening was filled with energy, excitement, and exceptional performances that set the tone for what’s to come.

Audiences were treated to incredible musical moments from well known singer-songwriter Stephen LeBlanc and the rising talent of Grade 10 student Gracie Friars, whose performance showcased the bright future of local artistry. The afternoon also featured welcoming remarks from Tammy Constantine, Stephen Spencer, and Jon Arsenault, each highlighting the vision, collaboration, and dedication that brought this remarkable facility to life.

While winter weather forced us to postpone our student coffeehouse event, the momentum didn’t slow. The weekend delivered in a big way, with outstanding performances on both Friday and Saturday nights. Audiences packed the venue to enjoy unforgettable shows featuring Alexis and Félix Belliveau alongside Robert Thomas and the Session Men, followed by a dynamic Saturday performance from Jon Arsenault and Michelle Ryder. The response was overwhelming—proof that our community is ready and eager to embrace live arts in this new space.

The celebration continued on Thursday, March 19th, with the rescheduled SRS Coffeehouse and the official unveiling of the Town of Salisbury Cultural Policy. This special evening highlighted the depth of local creativity, featuring a vibrant display of artwork from talented community artists throughout the cafeteria. On stage, Salisbury Regional School students brought the house to life with an incredible variety of performances—from singers and bands to dancers from Amp It Up and even comedy acts. It was a true showcase of the passion and talent that lives right here in our community.

Opening week at the Salisbury Regional Performing Arts Centre was more than just a series of events—it was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to celebrate creativity, support the arts, and invest in the future.

If this week was any indication, the stage is set for something extraordinary.
